Sweetheart, it's not Carbon but Carbon di oxide. And there's a huge diffence between both the terms, Carbon is an element which makes up every living thing but Carbon di oxide is a hazardous compound and could be dangerous when inhales.

It's noting but solid carbon di oxide and it's formed when CO2 is pressurized in order to form it's state to solid.

Dry ice is made from carbon dioxide gas. The carbon dioxide gas is pressurized and cooled to form liquid CO2. The liquid carbon dioxide is injected into either a block press or pelletizer.
