There were so many incidents that tell that they were gentlemen. They used to do different kinds of works ro earn their living . They used to run small errands. Their hardworking nature or their willingness to work makes them unique. When the author and his friends same these two brothers they got attracted towards them as there was something in their eyes that could attract anyone. When the author asked them that is it necessary for them to work so hard, they replied that they have many plans and they also said that they were not complaining. And when the author came to know that they were working so hard for their sister's treatment he felt that they were quiet matured as compared to their age & this shows that they both were the gentlemen.

The narrator think that how jacopo and nicola took the hardship of life in a positive way. They put in all resourcefulness and energy to faceall the challenges came in their way. This showed that they were the two gentlemen of Verona.
