Rutherford discovered Atomic nucleus and its characteristic by a Alpha particle scattering experiment on thin sheet of gold foil. Rutherford's discoveries model. 1. An extremely small positively charged part at the centre called the nucleus in which the entire mass of an atom is concentrated. 2.A number of charges electrons surrounded by nucleus at relevantly large distance from it. the number of electrons is equal to the net positively charged on nucleus. 3.Nucleus and electrons are held Together by the strong electronic force of nucleus. 4.Te volume of the nucleus is very small as compared to the total volume of an atom.

Rutherford model explain that, Electrons move in the orbits present outside of the nucleus, when an electron move in it, it decreases energy and come close and close to the nucleus and jump into the nucleus. By which, atom will destroy. This will again to the law of electrodynamics. So, Rutherford's model was rejected. Also, he explain the alpha-particle experiment.
