p(x)=2x3-11x2-4x+1

2x+1 = 0

x = -1/2

p(-1/2) = 2(-1/2)³-11(-1/2)²-4(-1/2)+1

= -2/8-11/4+4/2

take lcm

final ans is 8/8 = 1

and this is not a factor.
