Volatile(escaping nature of liquid to become vapour) substance has very low Boiling point and generally takes place at room temperature, Its a fast process and generally seen in liquid state. e.g .Petrol, nailpolish remover, lighter spirit etc. Salicylic acid is steam volatile and para hydroxy benzoic acid is non volatile.
