{tex}\frac { A X } { X B } = \frac { 3 } { 4 } ....(i) {/tex}
{tex}\frac{AY}{CY}=\frac{5}{9} ....(ii){/tex}
From eqn (i) and (ii)
{tex}\frac{AX}{XB} ≠ \frac{AY}{YC}{/tex}
So XY and BC are not parallel
