Let the fraction be x÷y Then, x+2\y+2=9\11 ie.11(x+2)=9(y+2) 11x+22=9y+18 11x-9y =-4 •••••••••••••• (1) also, x+3÷y+3=5÷6 ie.6(x+3)=5(y+3) 6x+18=5y+15 6x-5y =-3 •••••••••••••••(2) (1)×6 ie. 66x-54y=-24. •••••••••••••,(3) (2)×11 ie. 66x-55y=-33•••••••••••••(4) by elimination method We have from (3)&(4) y=9 Therefore,66x-54y=-24 66x-54×9=-24 66x-486=-24 66x. =484-24 66x. =462 x =462÷66 x =7 Therefore fraction become 7÷9 ???
