Mutual induction : it is a phenomenon in which,when a current is passed through 1st coil , then mag.field produced around it but magnetic flux linked with coil 2 changes and emf is induced in 2 nd coil and vice versa

Self induction:-it is a property of a coil by virtue of which it delay in growth or decay of current due to change in magnetic flux linked with coil
