Can equipotential surfaces intersect each other.
  • 6 answers
No because at intersection the net potential will change(increase or decrease) then when you look at one surface then at intersection there is change and it can bo longer be called equipotential

No bcoz they all are in same direction

Abhishek Rajput 7 years, 10 months ago

But if u see inside hollow sphere there all space is equipotential surface so i think there why can't they intersect

Pankaj Sihag 7 years, 10 months ago

Noooooooo because at point of intersection there will be two value of potential which is not possible

Aryan Loomba 7 years, 10 months ago

No because if they did then there will be two perpendiculars hence two directions of electric field which is not possible

Ishika Tanwani 7 years, 10 months ago

I think noo Coz electric field lines can't intersect each other and equipotential surfaces are perpe.to field lines....
