The %age error in X = 2 × %age error in 'a' + 2 × %age error in 'b' + 1 × %age error in 'c' + 1/2 × %age error in 'd' = 2 × 4% + 2 × 2% + 1 × 3% + 1/2 × 1% = 8% + 4% + 3% + 1/2% = 15.5 %
