Let the two numbers be x and y

x>y

5x = 2y+9     {  Dividend = Divisor X Quotient + Remainder}

Required linear equation is : 5x-2y-9=0

Solutions:

Put x=1

5=2y+9

2y=-4

y=-2

Also,

take x= 3

15=2y+9

2y=6

y=3

So, solutions are (1,-2) and (3,3)
