I am so sorry vineet...now if i will know the perfect ans then only i'll give the ans otherwise not ok.

It states that magnetic field strength( dB) produce due to current element(dl) at position vector r

Vineet Kumar Gupta 7 years, 10 months ago

Divya you wrote about a infinite wire and the law talks about a small conductive element. what you wrote was a result and subsidiary of biot savart law not the the law . There is a minute difference in language but the difference in interpretation acc to physics is large . You wrote that library consists of books but you missed that a book is made of pages . (please i not good at explaining but bear with me )

Divya Sen 7 years, 10 months ago

Oo thats ok the circumstances were made in such a way that you had to react that way i understand..and by the way i also wrote same thing what u wrote now in the ans of biot savart law but with a bit of change.

You can treat it as a justification or whatever but i was pissed off that day due to some personal issue which lead to a sudden emotional outburst and i know it doesn’t gave me right to abuse but still i did and i am sorry for that.

Divya Sen 7 years, 10 months ago

What happened to you that day yaar what kind of a language you used that day i was literally shocked you won't believe but you were the one whom i really liked as a person and even now.

Vineet Kumar Gupta 7 years, 10 months ago

yes but I would not like to talk about that and i am sorry and guilty for whatever happened

I found the statement and its is :- Biot savert law states that the magnitude of the magnetic field dB by a SMALL current carrying conductor dL carring a steady current I at a point is inversely proportional to the square of distance of separation and is directly proportional to current I and length dL.

Divya Sen 7 years, 10 months ago

Vineet if i am correct you are the one with whom i talked earlier also na and that too vèry well??

Divya Sen 7 years, 10 months ago

Ok i am sorry i couldn't give your answer...
Addind to divya's answer ... It is proportional to length of wire

Divya Sen 7 years, 10 months ago

Is it ok vineet??

Vineet Kumar Gupta 7 years, 10 months ago

Divya its a analogous form of Biot savart law but its not the complete ,original statement anyways thanks
Therefore invalid question....only what is properly given in NCERT will be asked.

Divya Sen 7 years, 10 months ago

The magnetic intensity at any point due to a steady current in an infinitely long straight wire is directly proportional to the current and is inversely proportional to the distance from that point to wire.
