A storage tank is in the form of a cube. When it is full of water the vol. Of water is15.625 metre cube. If the present depth of water is 1.3m . Find the vol. of water already used from the tank.

Ans. Volume of cubical Tank = 15.625m3

Sides of cubical Tank = (15.625)1/3 = 2.5m

As now water level is now 1.3m

Volume of water remained = area of base*current water level= 2.5*2.5*1.3= 8.125m3

Volume of water used = total volume - remaining volume = 15.625 - 8.125 = 7.500m3
