Industries can be classified asSmall-scale industries and Large-scale industries

. Small-scale industries-  They are defined with reference to the amount of investment made on the assets of a unit. today the limit is Rs.1crore.Therefore the industries who invest less than 1 crore are small-scale industries. Example: industries that make papad, power loom, etc.

Large-scale industries-  The industries who invest more than 1 crore on the assets are large scale industries. Example: cotton or jute textile industries are large scale industries.
