Mg + Zn SO4 ----> Mg SO4 + Zn
In this case, The magnesium, being more reactive than zinc, replaces zinc from its salt solution and a displacement reaction occurs. The resulting substances are magnesium sulphate and zinc metal.
So the reaction between zinc and magnesium sulphate is not possible.
