The angry Arjun carried some arrows for fighting with Bhisma, with half the arrows he cut down the arrows thrown by Bhisma on him and with six other arrows, he killed the rath driver of Bhisma. With one arrow each, he knocked down respectively the rath, flag and the bow of Bhisma. Finally with one more than four times the square root of arrows, he laid Bhisma unconscious on an arrow bed. Find the total number of arrows Arjun had.

Let the number of arrows arjun had be x Now, he cut down the arrows thrown by bhishma with half of his arrows ,i.e., x/2 Also, 6 arrows were used to kill the rath driver nd 3 were used to knock down the rath ,flag and the bow of Bhishma Also 4√x+1 arrows were used to lay bhishma unconcious Now, taking all the condition together, x/2+6+3+4√x+1=x On solving this equation u will get the value of √x =10 On squaring......x=100 Hence, Arjun had 100 arrows.
