    Firstly,Hydrogen and compounds of hydrogen r generally dielectric in nature. It has been put into reactivity series to show reactivity of hydrogen in comparison to other elements. As it makes bond with large no.of elements as it is the most abundant element in the universe....????

    In reactivity series metals r arrangd acc. To atomic no. ,Hydrogn has atomic no. 1 so it is placed with alkali metals. Moreover Hyd.also reacts with other non metal to form compounds like metals
