In Indian society, the work of women is only expected to be restricted till household. Even if women tend to work they do not get the same wages as their male counterparts get. however, political mobilization on gender discrimination has helped to improve the role of women in public life. Now more women are seen doing work other than the domestic one. This development can be attributed to the Feminist movements all over the world which promote equality among the gender.
