Ambidentate ligand are those ligand which have two different atom to donate electron pair e.g,NO2 But in didentate ligand are those ligand which two same atom to donate electron pair e.g, ethane 1-2 diamine

Ambident ligands are those ligands which will form coordinate bond from any one side from two choices e.g. :CN, in it C can donate it's e-'s pair or also N can. . . But bidentate ligands will definitely form two coordinate bonds e.g. en ( ethylene diamine )
