Given, cosec θ + cot θ = p...(i)

We know that,  cosec2θcot2θ=1

(cosecθ+cotθ)(cosecθcotθ)=1

p(cosecθcotθ)=1

cosecθcotθ=1p ....(ii)

Adding i and ii, we get

2cosecθ=p+1p

cosecθ=p2+12p

sinθ=1cosecθ=2pp2+1

We know that,cosθ=1sin2θ=14p2(p2+1)2=p4+12p2(p2+1)2

cosθ=(p21)2(p2+1)2=p21p2+1
