Mitosis occur in somatic cells but meiosis in reproductive cells. Mitosis takes less time to complete but meiosis take more time. Mitosis prophase is short but meosis prophase is long. It gives two daughter cells but in meosis four daughter cells are formed. Mitosis is equational division but meosis is reductional division. Mitosis is simple but meiosis is complex.....
