Let us try to make 8x in both equations

Therefore  multiply equation with 4x by 2 to make it = 8x

2 x (4x + 6y = 3xy)

8 x + 12 y = 6 xy .............. i

8x + 9y = 5xy ....................... ii

i  -  ii

3y = xy

3 = x

Putting the value of x in ii

24 + 9y = 5x3y

24 = 15y - 9y

24 = 6y

y = 4

x = 3

Multiply 1st equation by 2 Then subtract equation 2 from equation 1 ( multiplied by 2 ) We will get x=3 and y=4
