a= 4

b= -2(a²+b²)

c= a²b²

Using Discriminant formula,

D= b²-4ac

[-2(a²+b²)]²-4 x4xa²b²

4(a⁴+b⁴+2a²b²)-16a²b²

(2a²-2b²)²

x= $(- b \pm \sqrt{D}) / 2 a$

x= [2(a²+b²)+2(a²-b²)]/8 = 4a²/8 = a²/2

x= [2(a²+b²)-2(a²-b²)]/8 = 4b²/8 = b²/2
