Given: AB=CD . To Prove: angle OXA = angle OXD. Proof: Draw, OP perpendicular to AB and OQ perpendicular to CD. In triangle OPX & triangle OQX, we get angle OPX = angle OQX (each 90°) OX = OX (common) OP = OQ (AB & CD are equal chords and equal chords are equidistant from the center) So, triangle OPX congruent to triangle OQX (by RHS congruence rule ) So, that angle OXP = angle OXQ ( by cpct). i.e., angle OXA = angle OXD. Hence, proved .
