Baking soda or sodium bicarbonate contain NAHCO3 while baking powder is a mixture of baking soda and any edible acid( generally tartaric acid is used)

Baking soda only contain NaHCO3 ( sodium bicarbonate) but baking powder have NaHCO3 +tartaric acid+corn starch . Corn starch prevent it from getting moisture , tartaric acid is their to prevent the bitter taste cause when NaHCO3 react with H2O it produces Na2CO3 which is bitter in taste
