Solve the line x=0,y=0 and x+y=6 by taking two at a time
We get the vertices of the triangle as (0,0),(6,0) and (0,6)
Hence the centroid of the triangle is [(x1+x2+x3)/3 ,(y1+y2+y3)/3] =( 6/3 , 6/3)=(2,2)

Given, area of an isosceles right triangle = 8 cm2
Area of an isosceles triangle = 1/2 (Base x Height)
⇒ 8 = 1/2 (Base x Base)
[∴ base = height, as triangle is an isosceles triangle]
⇒ (Base)2 =16 ⇒ Base= 4 cm
In ΔABC, using Pythagoras theorem
AC2 = AB2 + BC2 = 42 + 42 = 16 + 16
⇒ AC2 = 32 ⇒ AC = √32 cm
[taking positive square root because length is always positive]
Hence, the length of its hypotenuse is √32 cm.

It is defined as the values of all the trigonometric function based on the value of the ratio of sides in a right-angled triangle. The ratios of sides of a right-angled triangle with respect to any of its acute angles are known as the trigonometric ratios of that particular angle.
- sine: Sine of an angle is defined as the ratio of the side opposite(perpendicular side) to that angle to the hypotenuse.
- cosine: Cosine of an angle is defined as the ratio of the side adjacent to that angle to the hypotenuse.
- tangent: Tangent of an angle is defined as the ratio of the side opposite to that angle to the side adjacent to that angle.
- cosecant: Cosecant is a multiplicative inverse of sine.
- secant: Secant is a multiplicative inverse of cosine.
- cotangent: Cotangent is the multiplicative inverse of the tangent.

Statistics is a form of mathematical analysis that uses quantified models, representations and synopses for a given set of experimental data or real-life studies. Statistics studies methodologies to gather, review, analyze and draw conclusions from data. The two main branches of statistics are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Both of these are employed in scientific analysis of data and both are equally important for the student of statistics.
