CBSE has released the new notification about the date sheet of Class 12 on the official website. As per this latest notification, Board Exams for CBSE Class 12 will start from 5th March to 12th April 2018. And practical exams will be held from 16th Jan to 15th Feb 2018.

If electric field lines is not perpendicular to the surface then it will have one tangential component due to which work has to be done against this electric field, but from the definition of equipotential surface the work done on the surface must be zero. Hence, electric field needs to be perpendicular to the surface.
