Conduction is a method of charging two uncharged bodies by bringing both the bodies in contact with each other with the help of a conducting ( which allows transfer of electrons or charges through it) wire. This method states that same kind of charge is transferred from one body to other in equal amount.

A student measures the terminal potential difference (V) of a cell ( of emf E and internal resistance r) as a function of the current (I) flowing through it.

To find the slope and intercept of the graph between V and I

The general equation of EMF in cell:

V = E − ir
⟹ V = E + i(−r)

Compare it with standard equation of the line:

y = mx + c
⟹ y = c + mx

Since graph of student is V vs I

∴ V is y and I is x

Therefore, E is intercept and (−r) is slope

By bringing a negative charged rod (example plastic rod) close to sphere. The near end becomes+ve charge and electronsthrough conducting wire flows to ground .hence through induction sphere get +ve charge.
