In this type of tournament, all the contestants are eliminated until only one winner is left at the end. The team which is defeated once autometically gets eliminated immediately from the tournament It means defeated team not get a second opportunities.

fixture of 21 teams

number of team = 21

  • Total number of matches = n-1 = 21-1 = 20
  • Total no of rounds = Nearest power of two of 21 = {tex}(2)^2{/tex}= 4
  • Number of teams in upper half{tex} = \frac { N + 1 } { 2 } = \frac { 21 + 1 } { 2 } = 11{/tex}
  • Number of teams in lower half{tex}= \frac { N - 1 } { 2 } = \frac { 21 - 1 } { 2 } = 10{/tex}
  • Total number of byes = Next power of two - total teams = 32 - 21 = 11 byes
  • number of byes in upper half={tex}= \frac { nb - 1 } { 2 } = \frac { 11 - 1 } { 2 } = 5{/tex}
  • number of team in lower half = {tex}= \frac { nb -+1 } { 2 } = \frac { 11 +1 } { 2 } = 6{/tex}

total number team in each quarter =

= 1st Quarter = Q+1 = 5+1 = 6 teams
= 2nd Quarter = Q+0 = 5+0 = 5 teams
= 3rd Quarter = Q+0 = 5+0 = 5 teams
= 4th Quarter = Q+0 = 5+0 = 5 teams

Basic difference between an electric line of force and magnetic lines of force is that the former is discontinuous and the latter is continuous or endless. Reason: No electric lines of force exist inside a charged body but magnetic lines do exist inside a magnet.

galvanometer is converted into an ammeter by connecting a low resistance in parallel with the galvanometer. This low resistance is called shunt resistance S. The scale is now calibrated in ampere and the range of ammeter depends on the values of the shunt resistance

At any junction of circuit elements, the sum of currents entering the junction must equal the sum of currents leaving it.

Sher Singh 4 years, 3 months ago

Kirchoff rules 1.First rule: The sum of all the currents meeting at junction is always equal to zero. 2.Second rule: In a closed loop the alzebric sum of emfs is equal to alzebric sum of product of respective currents and resistance flowing through it

Tec Om 4 years, 3 months ago

The potential gradient represents the rate of change of potential along with displacement. In other words, it represents the slope along which potential is changing. ... Potential - The potential between 2 points can be defined as the difference between the electric potential energies between the 2 points.

We know , dipole Moment = charge × distance between charges . e.g P = Q × D given , P = 3.2 × 10-³² Cm and charge Cu+2 SO4-- Q = charge of 2 electrons so, 3.2 × 10-³² = 2× 1.6 × 10^-19 × D D = 10^-32+19 m = 10^-13 m hence , distance between Cupper and sulphate ions = 10^-13m

Work done between any two points in a electrostatic field only depends on the potentials of the two points. In your question work has been done between the same two points in either directions. The ratio will be 1:1
W = Potential difference / charge of the particle.
WAB = | VB - VA | / q
WBA = |VA - VB | / q
Dividing one by two.
WAB / WBA = | VB - VA | / |VA - VB | = 1

Priyanshi Mitra 4 years, 3 months ago

Sune electron and proton are basic fundamental property of matter so quantization of charge is an integral multiple of electron that can be transferred from one body to another

Prachi Agarwal 4 years, 3 months ago
