Superposition principle in general means when two or more things superimpose(or overlap or combine) with each other resulting in a product. Like when two waves travelling in same direction with same speed and same frequency superimpose to make a wave of amplitude(a1+a2). This principle is also applied in centre of mass, when two objects are merjed together.
