The term swadhyaya literally means 'one's own reading' or 'self-study', it is the fourth of the Nimayas of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, and has the potential to deepen our Yoga practice way beyond the mat.

Power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to work machines.
All moving things have kinetic energy. It is energy possessed by an object due to its motion or movement. These include very large things, like planets, and very small ones, like atoms. The heavier a thing is, and the faster it moves, the more Kinetic energy
it has.
Potential energy is the stored energy of an object. It is the energy by virtue of an object's position relative to other objects. Potential energy is often associated with restoring forces such as a spring or the force of gravity
Examples of kinetic and potensial energy are:
KINETIC ENERGY
1. An airplane has a large amount of kinetic energy in flight due to its large mass and fast velocity.
2. A baseball thrown by a pitcher, although having a small mass, can have a large amount of kinetic energy due to its fast velocity.
3. A downhill skier traveling down a hill has a large amount of kinetic energy because of their mass and high velocity.
4. A golf ball sitting on a tee before it is struck has zero kinetic energy because its velocity is zero.

Frictional force causes a lot of losses in general upkeep and wear and tear of machinery. Hence it is considered as a evil. But almost all crucial tasks cannot be carried out without the presence of friction. Basic activities like walking and writing on a surface are possible due to friction. Hence it is considered as a necessary evil .
