Subject: Enquiring about catering charges
Sir
This is with reference to holding a farewell party in one of your halls as decided by our school
management. The exact date for the get-together has been fixed for February 15. In all, about
400 persons will attend the party. We want your hail for 3 hours from 3 pm to 6 pm on that
day. We will need a well-decorated stage with two mikes and a well-lit corner for dance.
We will appreciate if you send your rate list about catering charges per head including service
charges etc. We will need a good assortment of 6-7 snacks, the lavish supply of cold drinks,
coffee and one or two sweets. If you have a menu card for such a get-together, please send it
immediately. On getting your details we will finalize the programme. If any payment is to be
made in advance, the same may be intimated. If you have time, it will be better if you send your
representative to meet me to discuss the details.
Yours sincerely,
Name

The pattern of responses an organism makes to stimulus event that disturbs the equilibrium and exceeds a person's ability to cope. Origin in the Latin word 'strictus', meaning tight/narrow and 'stringere' (to tighten). Stress may get manifested in two forms:
(a) Eustress: The level of stress that is good for you and is one of a person's best assets for achieving peak performance and managing minor crises. This is positive, healthy and inspiring.
(b) Distress: Manifestation of stress that causes our body's wear and tear. It is negative, unhealthy and demotivating.
