  1.  Seeding is given to some special teams or those teams which are winner/runner up of the last year's tournament. In seeding the strong teams are selected to keep them at appropriate places in the fixtures so that they should not meet in the earlier rounds.
  2.  Assuming two competitors per match, if there are n competitors and r rounds, there will be n = 2^r competitors.( ^ means raised to power) 
    In the opening round, 2^r − n competitors will get a bye. Often, the number of participants in a single-elimination tournament is fixed as a power of two, so that nobody gets a bye. 

    For example if we have 37 teams then 

    the first round would include 27 "byes" meaning ten people only would compete. this round would therefore eliminate 5 people leaving 32 competitors. 32 competitiors then reduce by half each round until you have an eventual winner. this would mean a total of 41 matches.

in 1:1 ratio, workout n rest time is equal..
but in 1:2 ratio, workout time is double of rest time...
Example: 1:1 means when we divide 10 /10 is =1:1 and when we divide 20/ 10 is = 1:2
