Answer~~ : The Mean Value Theorem is one of the most essential theoretical tools in Calculus. It also says that if f(x) is definite and continuous on the interval [a,b] and differentiable on (a,b), in that case there is at least one number c in the interval (a,b) (that is a < c < b) such that. Important Conclusions ⇒ If f'(x) = 0 for all x in an interval (a,b), then f(x) is constant in the interval (a,b) ⇒ If f'(x) = g'(x) for all x in an interval (a,b), then g(x) = f(x) + c. Regards. ??

Solution~~ f : N → N given by f (x) = x² We can see that for x, y ϵ N, f(x) = f(y) ⇒ x² = y² ⇒ x = y ⇒ f is injective. Now, let 2 ϵ N. But, we can see that there does not exists any x in N such that f(x) = x² = 2, therefore,  f is not surjective. Therefore, function f is injective but not surjective. Regards. ??

The decimal numeral system is the standard system for denoting integer and non-integer numbers. It is the extension to non-integer numbers of the Hindu–Arabic numeral system. The way of denoting numbers in the decimal system is often referred to as decimal notation.

The answer is phi its value cannot be defined because root of -4 is imaginary....and function is not possible hence -3 has no pre image.... For more clear explanation.... f(x)=x^2+1... For pre image of -3 f(x)=-3...solving this we get root -4 which is not possible....

In mathematics, a matrix is a rectangular array of numbers, symbols, or expressions, arranged in rows and columns. For example, the dimension of the matrix below is 2 × 3, because there are two rows and three columns: Provided that they have the same size, two matrices can be added or subtracted element by element.

Ayush Vishwakarma?? 5 years, 3 months ago

Matrix is a rectangular array in which the data are arranged by many types. The array is defined as collection of numbers.you can also say that the sum of symmetric and skew symmetric is called matrix.
