5x-2 = A d/dx(1+2x+3x^2) + B 5x-2 = A(2+6x) +B Equating the coefficient of x and constant term on both side we get 6A=6 and -2=2A+B A=5/6 and B=-11/3 Therefore 5x-2 = 5/6(2+6x) - 11/3 Now integrating by putting this value of 5x-2 in question
