Integral cos(x+a)/sin(x+b)dx= integral cos(x+a-b+b)/sin(x+b) On simplifying this we get: cos(a-b) * integral ( cot(x+b)dx)- integral (sin(a-b)dx). This in integration gives: cos(a-b)log|sin(x+b)|-xsun(a-b)+c.

This can be written as (1-2sin^2x+2sin^2x)/cos^2x =2sec^2x which can be integated as 2tanx+c.

Wkt cos2x= cos^2x-sin^2x, We get 1/cos^2x=sec^2x.

Negative sign is taken when the result of function inside the modulus is negative for the given interval. For |x-1| we take negative sign for x=0 to x<1 (not x=1). Thus for the above interval the function would be (-(x-1))

Ashok Mishra 6 years, 10 months ago

Square matrix A is said to be skew-symmetric if aij =−aji for all i and j. In other words, we can say that matrix A is said to be skew-symmetric if transpose of matrix A is equal to negative of matrix A i.e (AT =−A). Note that all the main diagonal elements in the skew-symmetric matrix are zero. Let’s take an example of a matrix

It is skew-symmetric matrix because aij =−aji for all i and j. Here, a12 = -6 and a21= -6 which means a12= −a21. Similarly, this condition holds true for all other values of i and j.
