Dear XYZ,
Hello, How are you? Hope everything is fine... During my Vacations, I have recently visited Shimla with my parents, sister and my grandparents. We visited Shimla by train. Its an awesome place. There's a lot of things to do there. We stayed in a hotel for three days. It was extreme cold in Shimla so as we have to wear our sweaters. We also did shopping in Mall Road. I bought a handicraft for me. I have also bring gifts for you. I hope you will like it. We visited Jhakoo temple of Shimla. This temple has the world's largest Hanuman statue, which is visible from most parts of Shimla. And at the last day, We went to a very famous restaurant in Shimla, Its food was so yummy. Shimla was one of the best place I have ever visited.
Tell me your views about Shimla. I am waiting for your reply.
Your lovingly,
ABC

Firozabad had not changed with time because the years of mind-numbing toil had killed all initiative and the ability to dream for a change. The cry of not having money to do anything except carry on the business of bangle making and not having enough to eat rang out in every home. The young men echoed the lament of their elders but little could change because they had lost the ability to hope for it. As a result, the place recorded no progress.

The metaphor of the rattrap signifies that the world exists only to trap people by setting baits for them. Whenever someone is tempted by the luxuries, he ends up being caught in a dangerous trap. The author, thus, makes a much deeper comment on the woeful plight of those in pursuit of the worldly pleasures, which often lead them to unfortunate situations. The story helps in realising the importance of general goodness and kindness. The peddler is saved from the snare of the huge rattrap called world only when he appreciates the kindness to him by Edla.

The ironmaster misunderstood the peddler for an old acquaintance, whereas his daughter could make out that the man was afraid, which was suggestive of him having stolen something. Though the father and the daughter express compassion for the vagabond both do so for different reasons. The ironmaster was sure to help the vagabond get over his tramp manners because he had mistaken the latter for his old comrade. The daughter, however, wishes to feed him and welcome him in spite of knowing that he was not Captain Von Stahle. The father acts impulsively and casually and invites him without confirming the stranger’s identity. On realising his mistake he recklessly wants to hand him over to the sheriff. Only when he is threatened to be ensnared by the rattrap of this world, he thinks otherwise. Edla, on the other hand, shows a strong sense of observation. She rightly judges him to be a tramp without any education. She persuades her father to let him stay because they had promised him Christmas cheer. When the blacksmith’s daughter infects the protagonist with her true altruism the peddler’s inner soul experiences a rapid transformation form an ugly duckling to a dazzling swan.

Subject: Issue Books For Books Bank
Sir:
Respectfully I wish to state that our class has started Books Bank in the class in order to make books easily available. With books lying on the library book-shelves, many students feel reluctant to go there and have the books issued as it is quite time consuming. Our class has taken the initiative of starting a books bank. I myself will be responsible for the issuing of books. We have developed a software to keep track of books to be issued. Our class students have contributed money to start the bank. Each student has contributed book/s to the bank. I request you to issue a few books from the school library to be kept in the bank. Our class will be totally accountable for the books borrowed. Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
Navadeep

- Mr. Lamb had an optimistic attitude towards life.
- Though he was lame and had one leg made up of steel, he always used to be inspiring and believed in living life to the fullest.
- I really like Mr. Lamb’s attitude towards life.
- An instance of this could be seen when he inspired Derry to look at the world in a hopeful manner, he also told him that his face does not mean anything if he has a good heart.
