The General says that the German doctors are ruthless and wouldn’t mind even the death of the General, if the operation is a success. So he wouldn’t let a doctor of that kind perform an operation on him. He also knows that Sadao’s American sentimentality is keeping him merciful to the white man. If only Sadao had the German ruthlessness he wouldn’t mind the death of the white man. In short, the General wants Sadao to possess the American sentimentality while treating him and the German ruthlessness while dealing with the American.

The poem addresses the constraints of a married life a women experiences. It also addresses the issue of male dominance. The poem brings out the struggles and conflicts a woman has to go through in a male chauvinistic society.

Aunt Jennifer, the protagonist is symbolic of woman all over the world, who are the victims of oppression at the hands of the patriarchal system. Thus, the poem illustrates the rich feminist concerns.

So now its the final time and board exams are just a couple of days away.

After studying for almost a year and practicing a lot of sample papers, the only thing left is to understand how to solve the paper.

See, in English paper start with Section - C i. e.  Literature part as it carries the maximum marks. Complete it in 1 hour.

Then give your 40 mins to Section-A Reading and attempt all the questions point to point.

After that give your left over time to Section-B and present your thoughts in a smarter way referring to the word-limit.

Make sure to have 10 mins left for your revision.

Do all the questions of a particular section at one place. Follow these points and you will easily score 90+ in exams.

All the very best :)

The literal meaning of the above line is that the king has died, and it is hoped that the new king will live a long time.

However, the poet through this expression tries to bring out the irony of this slogan shouted by the ministers and the crowd, where they are praising the king for his wisdom that has resulted in his hanging.

It is highly ironical that they are hoping that he lives long through those principles of his, which have inadvertently caused his death.

ANSWER-

Kalki's 'The Tiger King' is a satire on the pride and stubbornness of those in power. The maharaja pf Pratibandpuram tried to belie what was written in his fate. The chief astroger had foretold that he was born in the hour of the Bull. The Bull and the Tiger were enemies. Hence the cause of his death would be a tiger. The new born child gave the signs of some miraculous power. He might even belie the predictions of astrologers but unfortunately it was not to be. Not that the king did not try his best. His campaign of tiger hunting was very successful. But the satirical auspect of the whole story is the king's inability to kill the hundredth tiger. All his strategies and plans worked till he killed 99 tigers. But the hundredth tiger eluded him till his death.

The irony of fate brings an unexpected end of the Maharaja. The hero who killed ninety nine tigers could not kill the only one which was left. The last tiger he thought to be dead survived as the king's bullet had missed its mark. Ironically ,the hundredth tiger which caused his death was not a ferocious beast of blood and flesh. It was a wooden tiger.

In fact ,when the dewan arranged hundredth tiger for the Maharaja's hunting. The Maharaja took a careful aim at the tiger and the beast lay down on the ground in a heap.Later it was found that the tiger was not dead and the bullet had missed its mark. The people did not want that the king must not come to know of it. So the tiger was killed. It was the third birthday of the King's son.The Maharaja bought a wooden tiger as a special birthday gift to his son. When the king was playing with the wooden tiger , a needle-like sliver pierced his right hand.Infection flared up and it became a sore.Three surgeons operated upon the Maharaja but they could not save him from dying. When the doctors came out from the operation theatre they made this remark in a humorous manner , " The operation was successful. The Maharaja is dead".

So, what the demonetization? As per “Investopedia“,  demonetization is an act of removing the legal status of currency as “Legal Tender”. Means old notes or even coins must be retired and replaced with new ones or completely new currency can be introduced like Rs. 2000 note which was not available earlier.

On 8th November, PM Modi’s announcement was the breaking news across India. Rs.500 and Rs. 1000 notes (currency) were made illegal from a stroke of midnight. One might think, why it’s been done? Indian government’s goal was to remove all counterfeit (fake) currency from the market which is used in tax evasion, corruption and even in funding terrorist activities. These two currency notes are the most used currency in the Indian market, it had 86% share in the market. This was a very big and risky decision and as some aptly said it is a “Masterstroke“. Some even say it is a “Surgical Attack” on black money. In simple words, old Rs 500 and Rs. 1000 notes are worthless now, they are just a piece of paper.

To sum up everything, I would say; demonetization was a really a masterstroke. It will help in fighting against corruption, black money, and tax evasion. I ,as Indian stand strongly behind this move. Though all good said about this, I think the way it was planned and handled could have been better. Otherwise, I support the demonetization.
