Air Pollution
The problem of pollution is engaging the attention of the sensible people in the developed as well as developing countries. What do mean by pollution? It means contaminating the elements of air, water and earth. We are polluting the ari that we breathe. The agents of air pollution are the chimney smokes and the fumes from cars and trucks and other motor vehicles. In winter there iss thick smoke all over the city.As the result people dont get enough oxygen. The develop bronchial problems or breathing trouble.Delhi alone has millions of vehicles. which burn petrol or diesel. Then there are thermal power plants and factories which use coal. There is hardly any green cover left on the ridge.Trees have been felled and the public parks have turned into slums. If air polltion will not be checked urgently the day is not far when we shall have to carry oxygen cylinders to keep us alive. One of the most significant factor for air polltion is deforestation. It has also resulted in global warming. The problems of imbalanced and scanty rains are also associated with deforestation.Trees are an antidote to pollution so if we want a healthy and secure life we have to preserve and conserve our forest life.Though govt.has made laws to protect our forest and wild life but they are not enforced practically.Only mutual and serious efforts of govt. and people in general can save our earth

CHARACTERISTICS OF GOOD NOTES

Main sections:1,2,3 etc.or I,II,III.
Sub-Sections:(i),(ii),(iii) etc.
Sub-sub-sections:(a),(b),(c),etc.
3. Another convenient method of division is the 'decimal' system.
Mainsections:1,2,3 etc.
Sub Sections:1.1,1.2,1.3 etc.
Sub-sub-sections:1.1.1,1.1.2,1.1.3,1.2.1.,1.2.2., etc.
4. Abbreviations and symbols are freely used.
5.Articles,prepostions and conjunctions are omitted.
6.Notes must make sense when they are read again.

Ans. Gandhi wanted to mould 'a new free Indian'. He wanted Indians to stand on their own feet. Some of his followers wanted C.F. Andrews to stay in Champaran and help them. Gandhi opposed it. He didn't want Indians to take the help of an Englishman in their struggle for freedom. So he taught a lesson in self-reliance.

Gandhi was asked to leave Champaran by an official order. He respected the lawful authority. He didn't want to be a law breaker. But the voice of conscience made him disobey the order. Thousands of people, particularaly the peasants, held a huge demonstration. The government was baffled. The officials felt helpless.Gandhi was released without bail. So civil-disobedience had triumphed for the first time in modern India.Butin the whole episode of Champaran Gandhi was friendly and polite. He helped the government to regulate the crowd in Motihari. Champaran episode was not an act of difiance but an effort to remove the distress of people. The success of Champaran was the ssuccess of peaceful civil-disobedience.
