Globules unfold and helix uncoiled and protein loses their biological activity called denaturation of protein

Sanchari Roy 5 years, 9 months ago

Removing a specific property of a substance by addition of poison or impurity or under external conditions such as change in temperature or pH is termed denaturation. Examples--- denaturation of alcohols, denaturation of proteins. Alcohol is denatured by adding CuSo4 or pyridine which makes it unfit for drinking. Sec. & Tert. structures of proteins get destroyed under external stresses and lossing biological activity.

If you want to score 40 out of 70 .....then I suggest you to do chapters like ....chemistry in everyday life.... Polymers .....biomolecules.... solutions ...organic chemistry...... for Organic Chemistry do watch the video of '''''vedantu board sprint of organic chemistry'''''' on YouTube it is really helpful and will help you get with some basic concepts do chapter of metallurgy .....surface chemistry...... these are easy.... checkout notes of chapter ,,,,P block,,,, and ,,,,d and f block elements ,,,,these are chapters based on limited concepts..... check previous year questions of these chapters ''''''''yaad rako. jo karna wo achhe se karna warna kuch bhi nahin hoga''''''''..... do daniel cell , as it is important ,study nerst equation ,,,,valence bond theory , crystal field theory, okkkk...study basic nature of amines , acidic comparison of alcohols, sn1 and sn2 reaction ...adsorption isotherm curve okkkkk....?

Saad Saifi 5 years, 9 months ago

Then you should focus only on part 1 chemistry hope it helps❣️

The reaction of sodium with water is highly exothermic. However, the rate of the reaction can be lowered by making an amalgam. When sodium amalgam is formed, the rate of reaction with water is lowered because the surface area of sodium that can come in contact with water decreases.

An acid anhydride is a compound obtained by the removal of water from 2 moles of an acid(generally carboxylic acids). CrO3 (chromium trioxide) is called an acidic anhydride because: CrO3+H2O→H2CrO4 i.e. the compound on gaining a water molecule becomes an acid (chromic acid here). ... Thus CrO3 is acidic in nature.
