Sucrose is a disaccharide carbohydrate plus it is a non reducing sugar. Whereas, glucose is a monosaccharide sugar and is a reducing sugar. SUCROSE -----------> GLUCOSE + FRUCTOSE (On hydrolysis)

Rohit Krishna 5 years, 7 months ago

Sucrose(C12H22O11) is a disaccharide made up of monomer units fructose and glucose joined by beta-1,4 glycosidic bond.Glucose(C6H12O6) is a monosaccharide which is one of the basic monomer unit for other oligosaccharides.

Adsorbent is a substance that adsorb another and adsorbate is a substance that gets adsorbed

Rohit Krishna 5 years, 7 months ago

I think the question you asked was about 'adsorbent' and 'adsorbate'

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

ADSORPTION

ABSORPTION

Surface phenomenon- concentration of the adsorbate increases only on the surface

Bulk phenomenon- concentration is uniform throughout the solid

Exothermic process- heat is released

Endothermic process- heat is absorbed

It is favoured by low temperature

It is not affected by temperature

Eg- Chalk stick dipped in ink adsorbs the colour of the ink but when you break the piece of chalk, its core still remains white

Eg- When anhydrous CaCl2 absorbs water vapour, it becomes wet and pasty

According to intermolecular forces it can be divided into physical adsorption and chemical adsorption physical adsorption occurs due to the presence of van der waals force which causes low specificity while chemical adsorption has formation of chemical bonds so it will have high specificity

Faraday's Laws of Electromagnetic Induction consists of two laws. The first law describes the induction of emf in a conductor and the second law quantifies the emf produced in the conductor. m = E x I x t /96,485, where m is the mass of the substance produced in g; Z is the electrochemical equivalent, which is the mass of a substance produced at the electrode during electrolysis by one coulomb of charge; I is the current in Ampere(A); t is the time in seconds; and 96,485 is the Faraday's constant.

Living systems are made up of various complex biomolecules like carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, etc. These biomolecules interact with each other and constitute the molecular logic of life processes. Like all the other biomolecules, carbohydrates are often built into long chains by stringing together smaller units. All of the biomolecules that make up our cells are made up of strings of monomers. For example, proteins are made up of strings of amino acids and nucleic acids are strings of nucleotides.
