A peptide bond is a chemical bondformed between two molecules when the carboxyl group of one molecule reacts with the amino group of the other molecule, releasing a molecule of water (H2O). This is a dehydration synthesis reaction (also known as a condensation reaction), and usually occurs between amino acids.

Allotropy or allotropis is the property of some chemical elements to exist in two or more different forms, in the same physical state, known as allotropes of these elements.

The electrodes are dipped in suitable electrolytes because
(i) The electrolytes yield cations and anions which are constantly in a state of motion in the electrolytic solution .
(ii) Ions act as carriers of electricity .
(iii) When an electric current is passed through the electrolyte , the positively charged ion ( cation ) move towards the negative electrode (cathode ) and negatively charged ions ( anions ) are directed to positive electrode (anode ) .
