As in aniline N has a lone pair of electron to dislocate in ring,, that's why it is less basic

Rashi Bari 7 years, 11 months ago

During resonance anilinium ion when gets protonated it exhibits partial double bond character (within benzene ring) which in turn increases its stability and therefore it is more acidic or competitively less basic than amine and ammonia.

Amanul Haque 7 years, 11 months ago

in case of aniline, lone pair of N is in Resonance with ring and this lone pair is not available for donation. As you know lone pair donors are lewis bases hence it is less basic
