Since phosphorus has high number of electrons therefore it creates a hole and also it has unpaired electrons. Hence, it acts as a p-type semi-conductor.

There is no formula to find the logarithm of a number. If one knows which value will satisfy the log then he or she can substitute the log value directly , otherwise One has to use the log table to substitute its value . How to use a log table is difficult to describe . The best way is to ask your maths or chemistry teacher how to use it because it may come as a part of your exam.
