Due to high P-P bond enthalpy than N-N bond enthalpy P is solid while N2 is gas.

Arpit Chugh 7 years, 2 months ago

N2 is having triple bond between them which is not easy to break and also it is stable and p4 is a 2 dimensional Structure

Haloarene less reactive than haloalkane because in haloarene the lone pair of halogen is involved in resonance with benzene ring due to which partial double character is formed and sn1 reaction is not possible due to unstable phenyl cation

Sn1 reaction proceed in two step.first is the formation of carbocation then attack of nucleophile.sn 1 reaction generally occur in polar protic solvent such as water ethanol.rate of sn1 dpends on leaving group.rate of sn reaction directly proportinal to good leaving group.good leaving means weak conjugate base .for sn1 reaction weak nucleophile is required.rate of sn1 directly proportional to stability of carbocation.sn1 is not possible foe bridged compound because carbocation formed as intermediate .carbocation is planar which is not achieveable upto 10 carbon atom in bridged compound.three membered ring does not give sn1 reaction due to angke strain. Nature of substrate must be tetiary for good sn1 reaction .other factor such as carbocation stabilitybalso determine the rate of sn1. Follows first order kinetics.rate directly proportional to concentration of alkyl halide.conc of nucleophile does not affect the rate of sn1 .rate of sn1 reaction involve weak nucleophile .nucleophilicty order can be determined charge density or polarization of electron cloud .

Molecular masses of the solute can be easily determined with the help of colligative properties; relative lowering in vapour pressure, boiling point elevation, freezing point depression, and osmotic pressure easily. But, we derived the relation between the molecular mass of solute and colligative properties under some assumptions, which are:

  • The solution is diluted that is, solvent is available in large amount in order to obey Raoult’s Law

  • The solute neither went dissociation or association in the solution
