It shows the no. of carbons in the monomers.. lyk nylon 66 has adipic acid(6 carbons) and hexame. diamine(6 carbons) nylon 6has caprolactum (6 carbons)
In nylon-6,6 the designation 6,6 means that monomers of nylon-6,6 i.e Adipic acid amd and hexamethylene diamine contains 6 carbom atoms each.

This is because cr2+ by losing 1 electron attain stable t2g level half filled configuration and hence act as reducing agent while Mn3+ by gaining 1 electron attain stable d5 configuration and hence is oxidizing agent.
