Use the formula, d = ( Z* M) / ( a^3 * Na). a & d r gn, M of iron is 55.8, Na = 6.023 * 10^23. With these data find Z & with that gind the lattice.

Nivetha Vijayakumar 6 years, 9 months ago

Use the formula d = ( Z *M) / ( a^3 * Na). Gn that, a = 300pm, d = 7.2 g cm^(-3). We know that, M of iron is 55.8. Substitute the values & get Z value, with that find the lattice.

Suhani Rana? 6 years, 9 months ago

This is because cr2+ by losing 1 electron attain stable t2g level half filled configuration and hence act as reducing agent while Mn3+ by gaining 1 electron attain stable d5 configuration and hence is oxidizing agent.
