Answer by Rajat barwar is correct:::?

Rajat Barwar 6 years, 5 months ago

I am sorry for arguement, but as I know SN2 is a single step reaction. It is a bimolecular reaction. Its order of reaction is 2. In it backside attack occurs and we get only a single stereoisomer with inversion in cofuguration of chiral centre. Its rate is doule the rate of racemisation.(in some cases when we have a radioactive isotope attack). OK i think this may help you.

Manshi Rana 6 years, 5 months ago

In simple words Those reactions which will complete with in 2 step are known as sn2 reactions
