Molar conductivity of a solution at a given concentration is the conductance of volume V of a solution containing one mole of electrolyte kept between two electrodes with an area of cross-section A and distance of unit length.
Ʌm = К/c
Here,
c = concentration in moles per volume
К = specific conductivity
Ʌm = molar conductivity.

The crystal field theory was proposed by Hans Bethe and VanVleck. This theory gives satisfactory explanation for the bonding and the properties of complexes than the valence bond theory.
Assumptions of Crystal field theory:
The interaction between the metal ion and the ligand is purely electrostatic.
Negative ligands are treated as point charges and neutral ligands are treated as dipoles.
The five d-orbitals in an isolated gaseous metal atom (or) ion are degenerate.
The repulsions between the electrons in the metal ion and the ligands increases the energy of the d-orbitals and lifts the degeneracy in d-orbitals. This results in the d- orbitals getting split.

Rate law
- The representation of rate of reaction in terms of molar concentration of the reactants participating in a reaction raised to some power is called rate law.
- It is also called rate expression or rate equation.
- Consider a reaction:
2NO (g) + O2 (g) --> 2NO2
Rate ∝ [NO]2
Rate ∝ [O2]
Combining these two rates we derive
Rate ∝ [NO]2 [O2]
Rate =k [NO]2 [O2]
- Where k is the proportionality constant with a definite value at a specific temperature for a specific reaction and is called Rate Constant.
- Rate law expression = -d[R]/ dt = k [NO]2 [O2]
