Yss being basic in nature aniline react vth basic alcl3to form salt!..??

Peshal Madhukar 5 years, 11 months ago

Chirag Sharma do make sure before answering any question that it should be correct. NH2 is an activating group and o,p-directing.

Peshal Madhukar 5 years, 11 months ago

Aniline has basic nature and F.C. reaction occurs in +nce of acid anhy. Alcl3 so it forms salt with it

Chirag Sharma 5 years, 11 months ago

1) NH2 group on aniline deactivates the benzene ring so ring cannot undergo friedal craft reaction

Addition is homogeneous polymer where hydrocarbons are present where as condensation polymer is heterogenous best example teflon

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 11 months ago

Addition Polymerization Condensation Polymerization
Monomers must have either a double bond or triple bond Monomers must have two similar or different functional groups
Produces no by-products By-products such as ammonia, water and HCl are produced
Addition of monomers results in polymers Condensation of monomers result in polymers
The molecular weight of the resultant polymers is a multiple of monomer’s molecular weight The molecular weight of the resultant polymer is not a multiple of monomer’s molecular weight
Lewis acids or bases, radical initiators are catalysts in addition polymerization The catalysts in condensation polymerization are catalysts in condensation polymerization.
Common examples of addition polymerization are PVC, polyethene, Teflon etc. Common examples of condensation polymerization are nylon, bakelite, silicon, etc.

Ethanal and propanal can be distinguished by iodoform test.

Iodoform test

Aldehydes and ketones having at least one methyl group linked to the carbonyl carbon atom responds to the iodoform test. Ethanal having one methyl group linked to the carbonyl carbon atom responds to this test. But propanal does not have a methyl group linked to the carbonyl carbon atom and thus, it does not respond to this state.

CH3CHO + 3NaOI→HCOOONa + CHI3 + 2NaOH

Sandeep Tyagi 5 years, 11 months ago

Methyl carbonyl group means CH3CO group

Sandeep Tyagi 5 years, 11 months ago

By iodo form test ethanal gives yellow ppt of iodo form and propanal does not show these reaction because in propanal methyl carbonyl group is absent

actually this does not need the molar mass of the solute if the solvent is water... You can apply the formula ∆T=i(Kb)m for b.p. change and find the i.m value. Now apply ∆T = i(Kf)m for freezing point change, and now you all the required values and also the freezing point of water, so you can calculaye the f.p. of solution. I would also try to think for a solution if the solvent is not water soon.... Hope this may help you..

Diazonium salts are a group of organic compounds which shares one common functional group R-N + 2X. In R-N + 2X, R is an organic group. For example, alkyl or aryl group. And X is organic or inorganic anions. For example Halogen, Chlorine, Bromine, etc. Diazonium salts are also known as Diazonium compounds. By heating it in the water we can make Phenols.
