{tex}A \cap ( B - C ) = ( A \cap B ) - ( A \cap C ){/tex}
Using Distributive Law, which we used in real numbers
{tex}a \times ( b + c ) = a \times b + a \times c{/tex}
Similarly,
{tex}A \cap ( B - C ) = ( A \cap B ) - ( A \cap C ){/tex}

If (x+a)is a factor of {tex}{x^2} + px + q{/tex} and {tex}{x^2} + mx + n{/tex}
then {tex}{( - a)^2} + p( - a) + q = {( - a)^2} + m( - a) + n{/tex}{tex}[\because x = - a]{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow - pa + q = - am + n{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow n - q = a(m - p){/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow a = \frac{{m - p}}{{n - q}}{/tex}
